He died. We all did, but he... he died before us, on the Continent. He was murdered. I was there and I couldn't do anything, and I would have been killed too if Verso didn't show up to save me.

No. Gustave brought Verso to the apartment, but they'd gotten into a brawl, and Gustave was--his nose was broken, his face was just--a mess. I didn't really take that well.

Calmer. Lune healed him. It just scared me. A lot. He's... I mean, you can tell, can't you? How much he means to me.

It's him. From the day he and Emma adopted me, he's just been like that.

Verso is important to me, too. He's... complicated, and he doesn't like telling the whole truth, but he's a good person. I trust him.

I just... do? I don't know. He can be really annoying and say dumb things, but he cares. He was the only one that understood that I needed to bury Gustave. The only one that listened.

That he listened? It's... Lune and Sciel, we all swore an oath. "When one falls, we continue." They weren't trying to be cruel.

Verso knew a place. It was beautiful. He buried friends there, too.
